My house turned into a meat market this evening. J.J. and some child laborers got busy grinding many pounds of deer meat into sausage and "burger".
Can you say teamwork?
Does the sausage look appetizing?
The grinder was a good investment several years back.
J.J. had to add a little beef fat to the mixture since venison is so lean.
I thankfully didn't stick around too long because I went to a Cookie Exchange dinner party. (Thanks Amber, for getting me out of the house)
Corinna looks as if she might puke in the pot! She didn't. I wanted to clarify in case some of you come over for deer stew, or tenderloin, sausage, burgers, etc.
The mystery man (child laborer) is our neighbor, Noah. Well, if the neighbors are over just put'em to work. After all, he does eat at our house frequently and will likely consume some of the product at hand.
When I arrived home after 9:00, J.J. was finishing up the packaging process. And he cleaned up too.
Our freezer is surely stocked for the winter. In fact, we just might have enough meat by the end of hunting season to last us through 2010. Around here, J.J. really does put the meat on the table!
