Get to the Pointe!

We took a daycation to Wet'nWild Emerald Pointe this week in celebration of Hayden's birthday. A few years ago, we transitioned from birthday parties to family activities. With Hayden's birthday around the 4th of July and Drake and Corinna's in December, it was always a challenge to plan parties. So, we began a new birthday tradition.

A water park was an excellent choice for such a hot day. We coated on the sunscreen and were all ready to get wet.

J.J. is a big kid so all the water rides were thrilling to him. I realized that I am not as young as I used to be. I didn't particularly like some of the rides and even elected NOT to go on them all. Corinna was about 1/2 inch too short for several of the rides, to her dismay.

The kids decide where to go next. You could take a cooler into a designated area for a $2 charge so we didn't have to spend money on food and drinks.

The Bonzai speed slides were fast!

All the kids jumped off the pirate's ship in Shipwreck Cove.

Hayden beat Drake down the Double Barrel Blast this time.

We had fun on trip to Wet'nWild. I think Hayden will remember his birthday trip for years to come.
