My firstborn, Hayden is 12 years old today!
After vacationing in the Washington, DC area (blog posts to come) this past week, we planned a birthday camping trip especially for Hayden.
Needless to say, the campground did NOT live up to our expectations. But we did have some good moments. The main thing is that we celebrated Hayden and the gift that he is to our family.
I attempted to capture Drake going off the diving board.....I got his legs!
The kids did play a few rounds of mini-golf.
Corinna and Drake entered a horseshoe tournament.

The campground had ice cream. That was a plus since we didn't have a fire ring on our campsite for making smores.
There was entertainment. We were mostly entertained by our fellow campers. However, here's a throwback moment as JJ and I do The Electric Slide!
Guess who won 2nd place in the horseshoe tourney?
The main reason I chose Lake Myers RV (RV should be replaced by Redneck) Resort is because the website boasted of their water slide. This is all we saw of it! We left the campground early and thankfully our neighbor Frankie redeemed Hayden's day by taking him to the lake for an afternoon of tubing!
Hayden brings us much delight. We look forward to seeing how the Lord uses Hayden for His glory. When I think about what the next 12 years could hold for Hayden, I am overwhelmed, but joyful, because Hayden's life is in the Father's hands. Happy Birthday to you, Hayden Royce Cullens. We love you to the moon and back!
