Last Saturday we went on a family field trip...rollerskating! I am uncoordinated when it comes to skating so I was a spectator. Here's a few pics of the action:

Drakemunk
Don't know why we've had facial issues in our household this week, but that's just the way it's been. Drake woke up yesterday and mentioned that his tooth hurt. I gave his some ibuprofen and orajel and didn't hear much more about it. Last night before bed, he said his gum hurt around the tooth so I administered more of the same quick fix. This morning he woke up with the side of his face swollen like that of a chipmunk. This called for a trip to the dentist since Drake wouldn't agree to JJ using his pliers.

No Botox Needed
I woke up Saturday morning with a big, fat lip. No, I did not have botox injections. My fever blister is the result of stress I guess. I started teaching a first grade class on Tuesday. The teacher is on medical leave and I could be there for awhile, perhaps even for the remainder of the school year. Things didn't really go badly, I just came in right as it's time to end the grading period.
That's just how it is. I'm sure I'll hear questions about it in the morning or be asked why I have mustard on my lip. Meanwhile, I'll remember to take my Lysine pills and keep some Abreva handy. I'll try to smile although it hurts. Most importantly, I'll remember to cast all of my anxieties on the LORD!

New Year's Prayer
Length of days does not profit me
except the days are passed in Thy presence,
in Thy service, to Thy glory.
Give me a grace that precedes, follows, guides,
sustains, sactifies, aids every hour,
that I may not one moment be apart from Thee,
but may rely on Thy Spirit
to supply every thought,
speak in every word,
direct every step,
prosper every work,
build up every mote of faith,
and give me a desire
to show forth Thy praise;
testify Thy love,
advance Thy kingdom.
with Thee, O Father as my harbour,
Thee, O Son, at my helm,
Thee, O Holy Spirit, filling my sails.
Guide me to heaven with my loins girt,
my lamp burning,
my ear open to Thy calls,
my heart full of love,
my soul free.
Thy comforts to cheer,
Thy wisdom to teach,
Thy right hand to guide,
Thy counsel to instruct,
Thy law to judge,
Thy presence to stabilize.
May Thy fear be my awe,
Thy triumphs my joy.
