An Extra Day???

So, here it is February 29th. I have not intentionally been on a vacation from blogging, I've just been extremely busy. An extra day has been added to the year, but this one day won't help me get everything done!

I'll give you an overview of what's been going on. I am continuing to teach first grade until the end of the school year. It is exhausting and exhilarating at the same time. But I am reminded that a teacher's work, like a mother's, is never done. There is always more to do. There are moments that I am overwhelmed, but God has blessed me with wonderful team members at work to help equip and encourage me daily.

A few weeks ago I began online courses at DCCC in an effort to renew my teaching license. I should be finished with my courses by mid summer, just in time for interviews for next school year. I will just have to wait and see what God does.

Hayden is practicing four times a week for the upcoming youth theatre play and Drake and Corinna have started back up with soccer. So our week days are full of activity. I confess that I've been coming home from school on Fridays ready to go to bed and actually crashing before 9:00.

I hope to find more time to post in the coming weeks. Now, I suppose I will use the remaining hours of my extra day to do more school work and then perhaps to catch up on some much-needed sleep.

Honor Rollers

It's been several weeks since report cards came out and I'm just now getting around to a blog post where I brag a bit. All of our children had wonderful report cards and we're very proud. I took them to a restaurant they enjoy to celebrate their success in school.

The school year is more than half way over (if you ask how many more school days, I CAN tell you) and I trust they'll finish strong!
