Snowpocalypse

We had our second round of snow last Wednesday. It was enough ( at least 6 inches) to close school, JJ's work, and keep us homebound for a few days. Here are some pictures of our winter fun.

Now, there are just patches of snow left and warm temperature's are on the horizon later in the week.  Time for some soccer!

Polar Vortex

It's been cold around here in recent weeks. There were days when school was delayed due to record low temperatures. Then, last week the kids got out of school early on Tuesday and did not return the rest of the week.

We got some snow. Mind you, it was not a significant amount, but enough for a little sledding, several batches of snow cream, and enough to constitute 3 snow days. Such are winters in North Carolina.

By Thursday we had a little cabin fever and ventured to the movies. We visited my dad on the way home and my Dad's brother an his wife Dale were here from Florida.

It is back to school tomorrow. I hear that Phil saw his shadow and 6 more weeks of winter are on the way. That would match up with the extended forecast. We shall see.
