Blog-A-Thon

I haven't blogged lately...but lots has gone on in our lives. I have finished my second grade call of duty. I celebrated God getting me through those 12 weeks by attending the Women of Faith event in Greensboro November 12-13th. I've been going to Girlfriends Gatherings each month for a while now and some of us were able to go. We even booked hotel rooms and stayed up til 2:00 am!

I liked seeing Stephen Curtis Chapman. It took me back to my college days and to "The Great Adventure" tour.

The children are doing well in school and celebrated American Education Week this past week. They always like getting to wear pj's to school and visiting the book fair.

Friday they wore school colors (red and black) or classroom t-shirts.

Saturday (Nov. 20) Drake and JJ played in a 3v3 soccer tournament benefiting Davidson County United Way. It was a gorgeous day to spend outside.

Drake's team went undefeated in the tourney! :)

JJ got in on the action too, although his heels have been giving him problems.

That's a close one!

Our Saturday finished up with the boys going to Clifford's birthday bash at Funigans

and Corinna dancin' with the cow at Laurel's Chik-Fil-A b-day party.

Other news is that the sale of my dad's home provided us with the money to purchase a pop-up camper. Too bad we have to wait 4 or 5 months to use it....but I suppose that buying it in the off-season was why we got a good deal.

Here it is set up followed by an indoor tour.

We have enjoyed tent camping and this will just make our camping excursions even more enjoyable.

I'll end with a pic of our Children's choir at church. They sang really well this morning during the worship service. The Lord continues to bless our family and I am very thankful. May I continue to reflect upon the God's goodness not just as Thanksgiving approaches, but every day.

BTW, I LOVE your family! :-) Thank you for being so welcoming to Franki... it blesses us so much to have such support. I know it blesses Franki, too.
