Tis The Season

December is certainly an event filled month as we celebrate Christmas. On Thursday, Alston Brook (my dad's nursing facility) presented their annual Christmas play.

My dad was a wiseman again this year.

The residents told the story of the first Christmas.

The name of Jesus was glorified!

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth." (John 1:14)

Saturday night, we attended our Youth group Christmas dinner. I co-lead the Jr. and Sr. high girls. Here are 4 of the 6 who planned and decorated for the party.

We all got dressed up for the occasion.

He didn't go home with the penguin although he wore his penguin suit!

It has been a nice start to our Christmas celebrations. There are more to come in the next few weeks. We can't celebrate the birth of our Savior enough! We wish you much joy and peace in the season of advent.
