A Trip to the "Wax Museum"

I'm taking you back a few weeks (I've had camera issues) to take you through a tour of Southwood's Second Grade Wax Musuem.  The students read biographies and portrayed the character of the person they read about.  When you "pressed their button", the characters came to life and told you about their lives.

Corinna was Helen Keller.  She's wrapped in the blanket that kept her warm when she had the high fever that left her deaf and blind.  She even acted out a temper tantrum.  Of course Corinna never had temper tantrums like Helen did....ha ha!

 Honest Abe
 Dr. Seuss

Betsy Ross

JFK, Abraham Lincoln, and George Washington, respectively

Mother Teresa and Walt Disney

 Pocahontas

 Harriet Tubman

 Ben Franklin\

Helen Keller with Susan B. Anthony

The second graders did a marvelous job.  Hope you enjoyed the tour!  More "catch-up" posts to come.
