A New Lease On LIfe

The sun rises this morning at the Yadkin River Hunting Club in nearby Davie County. J.J. just became a member last week. The club leases over 1900 acres for hunting. J.J. belongs to another hunting club in Surry County, but it's about an hour and a half away. In about 20 minutes, he can commute to this new deer lease, which is much more convenient.
Can you find Drake?

Today was Youth Turkey Hunting Day. J.J. and Drake headed over to the new deer (and turkey) lease about 5:30 this morning. J.J. utilized all of his turkey calls, but to no avail. He heard a gobbler in the distance but never saw him. Guess we'll have to cook that frozen Butterball turkey for our Easter dinner.

Although Drake didn't shoot a turkey, he and J.J. saw around 40 deer during their outing. Come September, they better beware.

  1. I hate to ask, but would J.J. be willing to take Noah and Isaac along at some point? Isaac keeps asking how old he has to be to go hunting with Mr. J.J. I am an animal LOVER and hate the thought of a poor deer (or turkey) being shot. But, I am fully aware of how good they taste :-) Since we are raising Isaac in NC, far be it from me to withhold him of the full experience of growing up in the south.
